Then you're in luck! Jennifer Pharr Davis- one of the world's most famous and prolific ultra long-distance hikers- is coming to Dartmouth NEXT WEEK! On Tuesday, June 25th at 7PM in Haldeman 028, Ms. Davis will be speaking about determination, perseverance, self-worth, and her multitude of experiences on the trail. 

Here are just a few items off of this amazing woman's resume:
- she has hiked over 12,000 miles on 6 contents over the course of her career
- she holds endurance records on three separate trails
- she is the first female to claim the overall record on the Appalachian Trail: over 2,000 miles in 46 days, for an average of 46.9 miles a day
Ms. Davis has authored multiple books about her travels and what they mean to her. She has been featured in the New York Times, on CNN and NPR, and she was voted both a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year and Ultrarunning Magazine's top female performance of 2011. In short, she is a very, very cool person. 

Before her talk, Ms. Davis will be leading a short hike to the Velvet Rocks (time TBA, but probably leaving on foot from campus at 4 PM). Anyone and everyone is welcome to join!
