The Summer Enrichment at Dartmouth (SEAD) program seeks a full time AmeriCorps*VISTA member to serve as a College Support Intern.  Collaborating with current program staff, the Intern will create and implement a comprehensive plan for supporting current and future SEAD alumni in college.

The Summer Enrichment at Dartmouth (SEAD) program empowers promising high school students from under-resourced backgrounds to thrive in high school and college. Through its summer program featuring specially designed courses, year-round mentoring in partner high schools, and extensive interactions with successful college students, SEAD encourages academic preparedness and personal growth for its high school students.

The College Support Intern’s work will fall into three broad categories: (1) Student Support, (2) Networking and Relationship Building, and (3) Data and Evaluation, and will seek to ensure greater college support and success for SEAD alumni.

Specific duties may include individual student support, creating opportunities for cohort engagement and reflection through an online forum, networking and relationship building with institutions where SEAD students are enrolled, and data and evaluation collection related to SEAD alumni's college attendance.

Applicants must be motivated and highly organized, with interest in education and service, commitment to diversity, and above all, an ability to work with a variety of students, staff, faculty and school personnel. Candidates must be able to work independently and in a collaborative team, with the ability to plan and prioritize work, as well as strong communication and networking skills.

All applicants must be over 18 years of age and be a college/university graduate.

Applications are due by Friday May 17th, 2013.

Those with further questions regarding the position should contact SEAD Program Coordinator, Lindsey Green ([log in to unmask]).
