Then this is the competition for you!


The Dartmouth Chamber Orchestra is looking for two excellent student arranged pieces to complete our winter concert repertoire. We are seeking quartets or quintets for brass, strings, and woodwinds featuring themes from popular video games such as The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Super Mario Bros, and Final Fantasy. The two winning arrangements will be featured in the DCO's winter concert, HIGH SCORE, alongside these famous arrangements:

The rules of the competition are as follows:

1. Submitted works must be quartets or quintets for brass, strings, or woodwinds. If you would like to submit a different kind of arrangement please send your inquiry to [log in to unmask]

2. Arrangements should not exceed 5 minutes in length.

3. Arrangements should be sent as PDF's, Finale files, or Sibelius files in the following order: Score, Parts. Please no handwritten scores. Be sure to include tempo, dynamic, and style markings where necessary.

4. All submitted work must be arranged by the student submitting it. Both undergraduates and graduate students are welcome to submit.

All submissions are due by January 20th. The winning pieces will be selected within that week.
