Want to get outside? Try a new outdoorsy sport? Do trailwork on Moosilauke? Stay at the Lodge and sit by the warm fire? Dance to a live band after a delicious Lodge dinner?

2 Ledyard trips. 3 Cabin & Trail trips. 2 Climbing trips. 1 Organic Farm trip. 1 Mountain Biking Trip. 1 Organic Farm workday. 

Saturday Oct 6 - Sunday Oct 7 

ALL trips stay at the Lodge Saturday night, and get to enjoy a Lodge dinner & live band: the infamous Reckless Breakfast! Trips run on either Saturday OR Sunday. Saturday trips leave Saturday morning and return to campus Sunday morning. Sunday trips leave for the lodge Saturday @ 5, and return to campus Sunday evening.

TRIP DESCRIPTIONS: 

1. Beginning Climbing at Rumney (Saturday) 
Come try outdoor rock climbing at Rumney, a premier climbing destination in New Hampshire.
Absolutely no experience or gear is required, and you'll learn all the skills you need to climb safely and have fun!

2. Beginner Climbing at Rumney (Sunday) 
Come try outdoor rock climbing at Rumney, a premier climbing destination in New Hampshire.

3. Cabin and Trail: Franconia Ridge Traverse (Saturday) 
When: Saturday, October 6, leave Robo @ 7AM return Sunday, October 7 @ 11AM
What: Strenuous hike across Franconia Ridge. Hit three peaks--Lafayette, Lincoln, and Little Haystack. 9 miles round trip. BEST VIEWS IN THE WHITES! See the beautiful fall colors from above and swim in a waterfall if you are daring! We'll make it to the Lodge in time for dinner, spend the evening hanging out and listening to music, sleep over, and eat a delicious breakfast before heading back to campus.

4. Cabin and Trail: Mount Moosilauke Trailwork Trip (Saturday)
When: Saturday, October 6, leave Robo @ 10AM
What:  Improve the Carter Connection Trail with the trail's namesake, the infamous Wales Carter himself! Smash rocks and be a part of creating a beautiful new connection on Mount Moosilauke! Plus, the trip is discounted since you are doing trailwork!

5. Cabin and Trail: Hike Mount Moosilauke 
When: Leave Robo @ 5pm Saturday, back on campus by 11:30am Sunday
What: Not looking to spend the whole day hiking? Come up for Lodge dinner on Saturday, spend the night, and hike up Mt. Moosilauke for the sunrise on Sunday morning! This is a moderate ~7 hike that should have amazing views at the top!

6. Beginner MTB Trip: 
Explore the amazing trails of STAB at Ascutney for a few hours, then go to the Lodge for dinner!

7. Ledyard: Flatwater Canoeing (Saturday)
Head out onto the pristine waters of the old Pemigiwasset river for a FLATWATER CANOEING ADVENTURE.  We'll learn paddling technique and enjoy seeing the riverway at a slow pace before heading up to the Lodge.  Must be able to swim.

8. Ledyard: Whitewater Kayaking (Saturday)
Dive into the world of rapids on a WHITEWATER KAYAKING EXTRAVAGANZA.  We will be traveling to a local river, learning how to safely and successfully navigate the rapids in a kayak, shredding the gnar til we're tired, and then heading up to the Lodge.  Complete beginners are welcome.  Must a competent swimmer.

9. Farm Trip (Saturday) 
Experience the Fall at the Farm! Come get your hands dirty doing seasonal work to prepare the fields for winter and then a nature walk! After, we'll head out to the Lodge for dinner.

10. Organic Farm Work Day 
If all the Lodge-bound trips fill up, you can still participate in Fall Weekend by helping at the Organic Farm on Sunday! More details to come.
