GlobeMed is a national non-profit organization focused on addressing global
health inequities. Led by students, GlobeMed partners college chapters
with grassroots organizations around the world.

Our chapter, GlobeMed at Dartmouth, is partnered with Kachin Women's
Association Thailand (KWAT), located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. KWAT's aim
is support and empower Kachin women and children who have left their homes
in the Kachin State of Burma and crossed the Thai-Burmese border due to
political unrest. GlobeMed at Dartmouth engages in fundraising campaigns
for KWAT to help support yearly projects and additionally engages in a
yearly curriculum of discussions and activities on global health issues to
educate and raise awareness.
