OUTREACH PEER MENTOR PROGRAM
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE APPLICATION
We are in the process of solidifying next years executive committee for Outreach Peer-Mentors. Below are the positions we are looking to fill. Members of the executive committee will be expected to commit a substantial amount of time to this organization and will be required to attend weekly executive meetings in addition to regular meetings and other organization events.
Chair (2)
Supervises and manages mentor/mentee application process
Monitors mentor/mentee pairs
Designs and implements a mentor training curriculum
Coordinates one interest/informational meeting at the beginning of each term
Coordinates campus-wide public events (panels, discussions, volunteer fairs, etc.)
Organizes and manages Dimensions and Orientation outreach/recruiting events
Monitors and manages the organizations email account
Acts as a liaison between LGBT student body and OPAL, GLOS, Dicks House, the Athletic Department, UGAs, and other campus partners
Advertising and Outreach Chair (1)
Coordinates with Dicks House, GLOS, Athletic Director, OPAL, and heads of other organizations to develop and maintain partnerships
Oversees on-campus advertising
Posters twice a term
Campus-wide informational blitz at the beginning and middle of each term
Distributes flyers and business cards to Dicks House, GLOS, Athletic Director, OPAL, and heads of other organizations at the beginning of each term
Develops other initiatives to increase Outreachs campus visibility
Social Chair (1)
Coordinates organization-wide social events (mixers, dinners, movies, game nights, etc.). Two or more events per term.
Coordinates faculty dinner each term
Works with chairs to organize and manage Dimensions and Orientation events

5. OUTreach is a very personal and involved organization. A good sense of diplomacy and an ability to work constructively with others is a necessary skill to making OUTreach run effectively. 6. Being a co-chair is very different than being a mentor. There's a lot more work and responsibility and less one-on-one time with mentees. Knowing this, why are you applying to be a co-chair? What can you personally bring to OUTreach?
