A short bio of Mike Kim:

Mike Kim, author of "Escaping North Korea" and founder of the NGO Crossing Borders, gave up his financial planning business in Chicago, Illinois on New Year's Day 2003, and left for China with a one-way ticket and two duffle bags. Kim lived near the North Korean-Chinese border and operated under the pretense of training in martial arts. While in China, he learned of hundred of thousands of refugees fleeing North Korea with a modern-day underground railroad. The stories of these refugees are recorded in Kim's memoir "Escaping North Korea."

Hope to see you there!
