Hey,
Since it's our last term here, a few of us at Bazaar decided to make our first real (sending to festivals) movie. We'd like to invite anyone interested in film-making (from acting to crew) to join our collaboration. It's a comedy and a drama, and it should be a hell of a lot of fun to make.

Story: In the two days preceding graduation at Ivy College, a student releases a video that goes viral and sparks a protest. The movie follows five graduating seniors who take radically different paths towards making a difference in their last days as college students. At its essence, the movie is about us -- a weird, misfit generation -- and our dramatic entrance to the working world. As long as we're in college, we're told that we're not ready just yet; at the same time, we are told that we are the future-- and we are. We are the future rebel leaders, arms dealers, sensational journalists, dog-eat-dog financial executives, and ambitionless marijuana-growers of the world; now deal with us.

Collaboration: As a Bazaar production, we stress a collaborative creative process between all levels. For actors and crew alike, this means direct input on the story as a whole. Frankly, we're still students and we're all on the same page when working on the movie; we're not going to play pretend-filmmaker with a list of guild-established positions. We need all the help we can get, and this movie belongs to everyone who works on it. If you're interested, let us know what kind of work you like doing. Your time commitment is up to you.

Acting: This movie has five main cast members, three male and two female, After that, there are plenty of other supporting roles available. Time commitment ranges from 1-2 days to 10, so let us know if you're interested at all. We'll do our best to work out scheduling with all of you.

This week, we're going to do some auditions and readings in the Film Studio at North Fairbanks (back of Tucker Foundation, there'll be a sign) on Wednesday (4/4) from 7-9PM. and Thursday (4/5) from 4:30-6:30PM. This is primarily for actors, so if you can't be there but want to be a part of it, e-mail us. Crew, you don't have to be there, but e-mail us as well. We're making a list.

We'll finish casting by the weekend, do a week of rehearsals & workshop the script, then start shooting by next weekend (4/13-4/15).
Let's make a movie!
