Since 1999, Marian Noronha has travelled frequently to Nepal with the goal of redeeming slave families and improving their access to education, housing, and jobs. His work helped lead to the abolition of slavery in Nepal in 2000, and he has since organized efforts to build several schools and an orphanage. In this presentation, Marian will share the story of how he became involved in the abolition movement, how his Christian faith inspires his action, and his vision for the future of these former slaves. He will also present opportunities for students to become involved with his program.

Marian lives in Madbury, NH with his wife Suzie (D'80). They were active members of the Dartmouth Area Christian Fellowship in the 1970's and 80s. Marian is the founder and chairman of Turbocam International, and was named New Hampshire's Business Leader of the Year in 2009.

Refreshments will be served following the lecture
