COOL was originally founded around the same time and with a similar mission as Campus Compact. One distinction back then was that COOL focused more on student-led co-curricular community service programs, while Campus Compact initially focused more on service-learning and the relationship between institutions and their local communities. The IMPACT Conference focuses on the full range of student civic engagement -- community service, service-learning, community-based research, advocacy --but compared to other national conferences, continues to be strongest around the area of student-led community service. If you are looking for ideas and strategies for building and strengthening your co-curricular student-led service programs, this is the ideal conference to attend or send student leaders and staff. There will be over 80 workshops. Although it focuses on strengthening programs and efforts that engage college students, the conference itself is not just for students. It's also intended for campus administrators, faculty, and non-profit staff to gain new insights, share best practices and network. There will be a robust administrator's track designed by and for campus administrators and faculty. Go to www.impactconference.org - http://cts.vresp.com/c/?SchoolofPublicPolicy/ec8bcf0ddb/6b9f033d7f/a586c75930 to learn more or to register. ******************* Interested? Concerned about cost?
