Dartmouth Business Journal will be considering applications for the 2012-2013 Executive Board. We encourage everyone to apply (this means 15's as well!) and no writing experience is necessary. Being a member of our Executive Board is a great dynamic experience that involves management, editorial, and business opportunities all within a motivated environment.

 We have a attached the application below along with a list of positions and their responsibilities. Applications are due tomorrow, February 19th at 4pm. If you have any questions or are interested in more information about a specific position, please blitz either this account or a current board member (names are listed next to position). President
 (currently Giulia Siccardo '12)
·      Leads meetings, keeps Constitution updated
·      Actively recruits new members
·      Checks in with editors and writers to keep everyone on schedule
·      Draws up term calendar
·      Keeps in touch with alums; new sources of interviews
·      Oversees and is present at activity fair at start of each fall term + Dimensions

·      Point of contact with advisor (Prof. Kreicher) and the administration

Editor - 4 people (currently Ran Sun '12 and Daniel Rozenfeld '12 with 2 open positions) 
·      Bring 10 topics each to meetings at start of term
·      Keep in touch with writers every week and sends reminder prior to submission deadline
·      Take turns writing "Message from the Board" each term. One editor does fall, one does winter, etc.

·      Does first edit for all their writers’ articles (sending articles back to writer if essential facts are missing).

Treasurer(currently Megan Ji '12)
·      Go to big COSO meeting at start of term (generally Wednesdays) to collect free $100! Gather funding proposal papers and submit them before deadline.
·      Remain in contact with Whitman Communications to insure that issue will be printed on time.
·      Keeps an account of outside donations that DBJ has at its disposal

·      Arranges travel for writers

Director of Publicity(currently Aaron Goone '14)
·      Checks blitz account 24/7 – this means connecting it to your main email server/account (MacMail/Gmail/etc)
·      Monitors the Facebook page and posts announcements when new issues are released, events occur, etc. to improve DBJ’s campus visibility.
·      Blitzes out to campus about meeting and when the issue arrives.

·      Arranges for at least one big social event for members each term

Design Editor - 3 people (currently Ellena Kim '12 with 2 open positions)
·      Note that templates use Pages, a Mac software. Design Team members must have a Mac, publisher room, or work from library Mac computers (Jones Media has Macs with Pages software; not all library computers necessarily do)
·      Start and finish entire layout and design of journal each term and design cover

·      Receive proof copy from Whitman and ensure that everything is okay for publication 

Director of Technology (currently Giulia Siccardo '12/ open position)
·      Keeps track of website: comment approval, install updated plug-ins, keeps staff list current each term
·      Uploads articles at end of term before paper issues are released to campus

·      Implement improvements to website as necessary
