In January, the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial society is launching its 2nd annual business plan competition! The competition is open to all Dartmouth undergraduate students - both individuals or teams.

Why you should enter:
- There will be a SIGNIFICANT CASH PRIZE - tens of thousands of dollars - for the winner and runners-up
- You will have the opportunity to be mentored by Tuck students for help with your business plan
- Preparing a business plan will significantly improve your business expertise, and prove an incredibly useful skill in the future
- To network with other Dartmouth entrepreneurs, including undergraduates, Tuck students, and alumni
- To develop your business idea for the Tuck Greener Ventures business plan competition in the spring, which undergraduates can enter and which has an even larger cash prize

The process:
The business plan competition will require teams to prepare material similar to that required when one pitches their business plan to investors. Prominent Dartmouth alumni will judge the business plans. Judges will consider, among other things, how viable the business model is and its profitability.

1) Teams will submit a letter of intent to the DES in mid-January
2) The DES will contact these teams, who will then write an executive summary of their business plan.
3) Semi-finalists will be chosen and prepare a pitch deck, which will be judged to determine the finalists
4) Finalists will ultimately be judged on presentations of their slides to a panel of alumni.

You'll hear more details from us soon.
