>Tom Blinkhorn, World Bank
Tom worked at the Bank for 30 years in direct operational work. First in
Africa (the initial riverblindness eradication campaign in the Volta River
basin), later West Africa, then in India where he met Betsy who was working
in Rajastan for an Indian non-governmental organization on forestry issues.
Managed the infamous or controversial Narmada dam project based in
Gujarat.In 1993, moved to the Eastern Europe, Central Asia region working on
a wide range of health, education and municipal problems -- Baltic
countries, Ukraine, Romania, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and others. He
continues to work as a consultant for the Bank on distance learning (new
information communications technology initiatives) plus reconstruction after
natural disasters. Tom lives in Hanover.

>Kathleen DeBoer, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development
(OECD)
Kathleen joined the OECD Washington Center in 2006 as Deputy Head of Center.
She has worked in publishing for over 25 years, with publishers including
Oxford University Press, Harcourt, Workman, and Grolier. Kathleen has been a
teacher of academic writing, business and economics in both China and
America. She is currently an adjunct professor at the George Washington
University College of Professional Studies. She holds a BA in Economics from
Harvard University.
