Positions open for elections are: - President - Vice President Social - Vice President Outreach - Vice President Policy ** Treasurer, Secretary, PAC representative are elected beginning of Fall '11. ** Summer ISA executive positions are elected beginning of Summer'11. ** Find position descriptions bellow. You are eligible to run for more than one position. PLATFORMS DUE THURSDAY, MAY 26 AT MIDNIGHT (MIDNIGHT FROM THURSDAY TO FRIDAY) Position descriptions: PRESIDENT (Required to have previously served as an ISA Vice President) - Oversee day-to-day ISA activity - Hold weekly executive meetings - Support and oversee actions of ISA VPs and other executive members - Maintain contact with faculty advisor - Closely work with ISA treasurer to prepare and present annual budget to COSO - Ensure that ISA, in its daily and termly activity, meets its purpose and goal of best serving ISA membership and Dartmouth community Appr. time commitment: 12-14 hours/week VICE PRESIDENT SOCIAL - Oversee organization of the main event of the term (Kaleidoscope, Winter Ball, World Cup Soccer Tourney, etc.): facilitate collaboration of the executive board and members to make the event a success - Organize other, smaller-scale social events for the membership throughout the term (weekly movie nights, study breaks, etc.) - Involve members into organizing big- and small- scale events Appr. time commitment: 7-8 hours/week VICE PRESIDENT OUTREACH - Coordinate events with Greek Houses, COSO and PAC groups, graduate students, Friendship Families etc. - In charge of public relations work (ex: International Alumni Network, Collis Exhibits, Accents are Sexy Bracelets) - Involve members into outreach efforts Appr. time commitment: 7-8 hours/week VICE PRESIDENT POLICY - Coordinate with the College administration, local businesses, etc. on the account of the international student population to promote certain causes and achieve improved policies for international students - Be able to identify and quickly react to needs in policy changes regarding international students - Involve members into policy efforts Appr. time commitment: 7-8 hours/week Blitz 'i-sa' with any question you might have about the elections.
