Hi Cindy,
We use the Transparent Language "Add-On's" in our Italian culture
course. They're currently having a big sale at
www.transparentstore.com/titlesale ($9.95/title). You have to have
the master program "Language Now" in order to run the add-ons,
but the students really enjoy the interactivity and the content of the
various titles. And the master program, after a $20 rebate, is only
$29.95! You can turn off the English translations for a totally Italian
experience.

Hello, all and Happy Thanksgiving!
An Italian professor here at Boston College is planning a new
course
(for Spring 2000) on the city of Florence and has sought my assistance in
locating related Italian-language materials in video and/or cd-rom format
that might be used in the classroom or language resource center. Of
particular interest would be materials that are exclusively in Italian but
that would be accessible to undergraduate students whose command of
language is just beyond the intermediate (or 4th semester) level.
Any ideas of vendors (US and otherwise) that might specialize in
such materials? (We already have some of the Films for the Humanities
materials, but they are in English.)
All suggestions gratefully accepted.
Cindy Bravo
