>Subject: Language Instructor Compensation
------------------
Dear Colleagues:
Columbia is about to start a process of revising its guidelines for
both the remuneration and the workload of the personnel engaged in
language instruction on its campus.
We would be interested in reviewing and/or sharing data with other
institution on average compensations and workloads of language
instructors. While we are interested in data from all institutions,
we are particularly eager to share data with other Level I research
institutions. This data could include information on any language (we
offer a significant number of LCTLs ) as well as information on any
and all level of hire (lecturer, senior lecturer, adjuncts, etc.).
Does anyone also knows if similar data has already been compiled for
the last 5 years and if so, how can one access it?
Best,
Stephane Charitos
