Assistant Education Specialist (Technology and Spanish Language
Teaching) College of Liberal Arts Language Center and Department of
Spanish and Portuguese, University of Minnesota. Duties include: teach 3
courses of Spanish language per year; develop training and instructional
materials for exploiting technology in the teaching of language; collect,
evaluate and disseminate information on technology resources (video,
software, Internet, etc.) for second-language teaching and
learning. Essential qualifications: Master's degree or ABD in language,
second-language education or related discipline; two years language
teaching, proficiency in Spanish; excellent organizational and
communication skills; prior experience with technology in language
teaching. Desired qualifications: prior experience in teacher development

begin January 18, 2000. Salary: $30,000 - $34,000 (100%, twelve months).
