Technology in foreign language acquistion may or may not correlate with
improved student linguistic performances in  measurable and discernable
ways.  However, technology does enable the student to interact with
authentic cultural material in the classroom in measurable and
discernable ways that the teacher without technology in the classroom or
learning center otherwise  could not provide. I think this is ultimately
the best argument for using technology: that it offers students a wider
range of cultural material in a wider range of discourse formats, to
appeal to a wider range of learning modalities.  Ah the least, the
nature of this increased input provides more opportunity for better
output.
