>Subject: OCR software

------------------
Dear friends,
I know this issue has been partially discussed before, but I would like to
know what software package you would recommend for scanning non-roman text
such as Arabic, Chinese & Japanese among others. Omnipage Pro has a
Japanese module and I have found some references to other programs on
the web, like the ones at the following URLs:

http://www.worldlanguage.com/
http://www.101language.com/mbt/uniocr.html
http://hosc.net/ocr/ocrsoftware.htm#OCR Software

Your input will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
