Dear Friends,

Help! My Chinese Faculty tell me that with the combination of MacOS 8.6, Chinese Language Kit 2.0, and NisusWriter 5.1.3, they cannot write via the Traditional Input Method. The simplified method is reportedly working fine.

On the Macs in question (PM G3 266), I installed OS 8.6 without the "Multilingual Internet Access" since we are using Language Kits to install that functionality. I also installed CLK 2.0.

We've tried manually setting "Chinese (China)" or "Chinese (Taiwan)" after choosing "Language" under the "Style" menu in NisusWriter, as well as setting the font to Beijing or Taipei, respectively. Instead of allowing us to type, the Mac gives us one
error beep per keystroke.

I've attached two screen shots showing some of the input settings chosen.

Can any of you offer solutions or help? Any help is most appreciated. I can supply more detail if you need it.

Thankyou.

-Steven
