This kind of drivel interests me too. I wish you'd discuss it on the list.
Aren't this "lab manager" positions typically about 100% administration /
100% non-administration ! That is, running the lab is a full-time job as is
teaching/mentoring grad students/conducting research. Isn't a 50-60 hour
week pretty standard?

Very interested in such "drivel!"
