The third Compiègne conference on the Use of New Technologies in Foreign
Language Teaching has as its main theme the role played by virtual
environments in foreign language teaching and learning.

submission date, the organizing committee has decided to push the dead-line
to 11 October.

Key note speakers:
- Carol Chapelle - "second language acquisition in a virtual environment?"
- David Crookall - "simulation in a virtual environment"
- Christian Puren - "la didactique des langues face a l'innovation
