GERMAN -- University of Notre Dame
Assistant Professor of German, tenure-track, beginning August 2000.   We are seeking to promote and improve German language learning and instruction at the university, with particular attention to the integration of technology into the language curriculum.  Applicants should have a Ph.D. in German, with expertise in one or more of the following: FL education, applied linguistics, or second language acquisition with emphasis on German.  Background and experience necessary in all or most of the following: current teaching methods, teacher training, proficiency testing, curriculum development.  Expertise in instructional technology and knowledge of the technical aspects of computer networking, with competence in all major platforms.  Demonstrated teaching excellence required, as is evidence of active research and publication agenda.  Salary highly competitive.
