I've had some trouble running 8.5 on 7100/66 and same generation Macs. 8.1
seems OK on these "legacy" machines. Any others w/similar experience....B

Horrible story from John about his Power Computing clone.....

Just one minor addition. I have an 8100 and a 7100 I have upgraded with
the Newer G3 upgrades. Both have worked great with both 8.1 and 8.5.

I have actually had 8.6 on my upgraded 8100 but 8.6 and Quicktime 4.0
conflicted with my old version of Premiere so had to drop back until
I could afford to buy an upgrade of these.
