Ursula,

We recently purchased two Sony CFD-V35 CD Radio Cassette-Corders.  The
company we purchased them from told us the CFD-V35 was the educational
model and is what they recommended to educational institutions.  The cost
was $99 plus tax.  We haven't had them long enough to say how they would
pass the "wear & tear" test.
