Hi Ursula,

I had good luck with the EIKI portable cassette players over the years at
Kansai Gaidai Hawaii College.  I found them to be economical and very sturdy
for daily use.  The weakness is the tape compartment cover spring, and the
advantage is multiple outlets for headsets.  I believe there is an archive of
past discussions regarding *boom boxes* and associated advantages and
disadvantages.  Check the LLTI topics from last Spring.
