This is a preliminary posting for an opening at
the Geddes Language Center, Boston University.

Official Position Title: Audio/Video Coordinator
What it is really: Lab Manager
Starting: Sept 2 would be ideal but the wheels
  of Personnel move slowly.
Rate of pay: approx $23K, union position, weekly pay, wage
Hours: 35/wk, somewhat flexible hours

Duties: Schedule, set up, and operate a/v/computer equipment for
faculty and student users in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Coordinate student staff of approx 13 (mostly work-study),
including training and payroll duties. Provide user support
across a range of basic services. Work in a congenial but very
active lab with good staff support.

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills
and a friendly, service-oriented approach; someone able to delegate
work; someone who is good at anticipating and heading off problems.

Two years of college required, or equivalent. One year related
experience, preferably with experience in a/v equipment operation,
scheduling, record-keeping, staff supervision, video production or
personal computer use. Foreign language experience is useful but
not required.
