Assistant Education Specialist (Technology and German Language Teaching)
College of Liberal Arts Language Center and Department of German,
Scandinavian and Dutch, University of Minnesota. Duties include: teach 3
courses of German language per year; develop training and instructional
materials for exploiting technology in the teaching of language; collect,
evaluate and disseminate information on technology resources (video,
software, Internet, etc.) for second-language teaching and learning.
Essential qualifications: Master's degree or ABD in language,
second-language education or related discipline; proficiency in German;
excellent organizational and communication skills; prior experience with
technology in language teaching. Desired qualifications: prior experience
in teacher development and higher education administration. 100% twelve
month academic professional position to begin August 30, 1999. Salary:
$30,000-$34,000 (100%, twelve months).
