Colby, a highly selective private liberal arts college of 1750 students
located in central Maine, seeks applicants for the following position:

Language Technology Consultant
Academic Information Technology Services

The Language Technology Consultant will provide computer and technology
support to the Colby community, manage the College's Language Resource
Center (LRC), and work with faculty and staff using diverse applications,
especially instructional technology in the classroom environment.  This
individual will serve as the primary liaison with foreign language faculty
and will  serve as a member of the LRC Advisory Group, whose members also
include the Director of Academic ITS and a faculty member from each of the
foreign language programs.  Qualifications include: B.A. or equivalent;
experience with a foreign language and current technologies, both
Macintosh and Windows. Background should include support of network
connections; video duplication; satellite broadcasts; maintenance,
scheduling and inventory of equipment; audio/video console activities;
audio and video digitizing; non-western language computing issues; word
processing skills; HTML and Javascript; spreadsheet and database
applications; file transfers and other general computing tasks.
