Sorry to be such an oaf about converting but I was
wondering if I have to convert (or save?)WP 6 or even WP 5.1
onto COREL WP8 before converting to WORD?

>While Corel is taking great pains to be able to convert M$Word formats
(all of it's internally incompatible formats), unfortunately, Word doesn't
do the same. A stopgap is to save the WP formats in Word format (which WP
can do). The Mac version of WordPerfect (3.5) also does a pretty decent
conversion.
