This isn't directly relevant to NT and office, but it is relevant to spellchecking.

NisusWriter (for the Macintosh) treats each language essentially as a style. When you have multiple spell checking dictionaries installed, you can spell check mixed language documents and NisusWriter will automatically switch to the correct dictionary
files as it checks the document or series of documents (it supports spell checking multiple documents simultaneously...as well as search and replace across multiple documents--very easy to make entire web site changes all at once...)

It's always good to know there is competition worth following...
