>Subject: Classes in language labs

------------------
Hello everybody,

I am looking for colleagues who have conducted language classes in a multimedia lab. Student and instructor feedback to this format at my institution has been mixed and I am trying to investigate other options.

Elementary language students in my department must enroll in a one-hour scheduled language lab (25-station IS-10) in addition to attending regular classes (using Dos Mundos) three times a week. We have experimented with various lab formats ranging from guided video only, listening+video+CD-ROM, to video + web projects. These scheduled labs tend to be staffed with bilingual students (Spanish) and a bilingual lecturer in French.

Any feedback regarding alternatives to any of the above would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
