------------------
We are considering replacing a three-gun projector w/ an lcd.
The room the projector is in is a large one, seating 325, and the
projector will be used roughly 70% for video and 30% for data.
My sense is that in that large a room, and with use being mostly for
video, the CRT projector would really be called for, but the pricing of
the lcd projectors make them most attractive to others on this project.
I know lcds are marvelous, but this is a showcase room, and we really need
excellent video there.
Can an lcd really deliver video in that large a space as well as a crt
can?
(I know what the salesmen say, but I wonder what you all
think.)
Thanks,
Ed
