I would like to extend a invitation to my translating chat rooms. I have
been working on the development of a multi-directional, multilingual chat
system for the past 3 years. The system is now operational and I have a
different base language assigned to each room. You can chat FROM English,
Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian TO English, Spanish, French,
German, Portuguese and Italian. The current system only works with Win95,
Win98 or Win NT systems that are running Internet Explorer 4.0 or above for
a web browser. To access the chat rooms come to:

I hope to offer java access for Netscape users and people who are utilizing
other operating systems by the middle of May. The translation quality is
usually in the 80 to 85% range. I look forward to having people visit my
site and making use of these language resources. I would be interested to
hear how this type of chat system can assist with the teaching of languages.
I have been concentrating on bridging language barriers with machine
translation when no other method of communication was available.

                      Best Regards,
