>Subject: Language Lab/ Technology Director Role & Salary
>In-Reply-To: <[log in to unmask]>

------------------
I'd like to ask you all for some help. Here at Mason we are currently
thinking about restructuring the position of "Director of Center for
Language Education, Research & Acquisition" (basically the Language Lab
director). We are hoping to get information from other people in the
field about:

** typical duties of the lab director
** how the position is classified (staff, instructional faculty,
administrative faculty, etc)
** typical salary range

Our primary motivation for this is to present a case to the administration
for paying our lab director better and making sure he is doing what he is
trained to do (and not spending his time vaccuuming the lab).

Please respond directly to our lab director at [log in to unmask]

Thank you in advance for your help.
