>Subject: Russian web based software

Here is the web site to download the Russian software "Tovarishch X"
("Comrade X") for Macintosh

http://www.colby.edu/personal/astrukov/

"Tovarishch X" ("Comrade X") is a new program designed to improve and
develop comprehension skills for the 2-nd,3-rd and 4-th year students,
studying Russian. Lots of fun and cultural experience are brought to you

by using clips from Russian radio stations and television channel
"ORT-1". There are all kinds of uses for this software. In my 2nd year
Russian course I am going to use it bit by bit throughout the semester,
giving little home assignments on a daily basis. For the "upgraded"
studets you may suggest to work on their own with the program.

All of the assignments are arranged in the accending difficulty; the
further --the harder!

It is a free program. I would appreciate if you help me to "spread the
word " about it and advise me of any other listservs where I can post
this announcement.

Enjoy!
