The Department of English at Essen University (Germany) is advertising a
full-time position as

Junior Lecturer/Lecturer

(wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter/wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin II a BAT )


initially for 2 years (with a possible extension towards tenure) to start as
soon as possible, preferably in April.


The applicant will become part of a research team dealing with projects in
the TELL (Technology Enhanced Language Learning). In addition, the applicant
will be expected to teach EFL courses and seminars in language learning
methodology, and area studies.
Applicants should hold a postgraduate degree in English or German and have
experience in teaching EFL as well as in the use of new technologies in
language learning. Near native speaker competence in English is essential.
