Dear Jorg:

I'm not sure if you're still looking for advice, since I notice your
message dates from last Thursday. But, in case you are, I have found that
using Netscape Page Composer allows you to circumvent the problems you
mention, by allowing you to choose both the font and the encoding in which
you would like a page to appear. I use it to put up web pages in both
Chinese and Russian, without any major problems. I haven't had any success
with the <!-- noedit --> tag in Claris, either.

Please feel free to contact me off-list ( [log in to unmask] ), or
look at my website (on Non-Roman-Font Computing), for more help.

Regards,

Laurel
