Dear Alums:

Please see the highlighted career opportunity outlined below, which was sent to us by EJ Miller, TH '15, D '14, Tuck Bridge '13.

Mechanical Engineers at tool. are part of a small team of Engineers and Industrial Designers that designs a variety of consumer and commercial products. They participate in brainstorming and concept development for generating product ideas. Engineers need to be able to lead the CAD design and prototyping efforts of multiple projects at once. They also perform general project management duties, including interfacing with clients, sourcing materials and vendors for prototyping, managing the project schedule and presenting their models in customer design reviews.

Candidates with some work experience in a Mechanical Engineering position (3+ years) would be considered for the Mechanical Engineer II position, while those with little to no relevant work experience would be considered for a Mechanical Engineer I position. A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. Experience at a Product Design or an Industrial Design firm is a plus. Experience with SolidWorks and/or Creo is required, as CAD is a major component of our work. Demonstrably strong complex surfacing skills and experience, particularly using the Style feature in Creo, is a huge plus, but is not required. Experience designing parts for injection molding, die casting, sheet metal bending and machining is desired. Candidates should have project management experience, strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for product design.

US citizenship is required.
