John Sutton has reported up to 3 Black-crowned Night-Herons the past couple of days in Bradford, VT. This morning Tii McLane and I saw 5 in the trees to the south of the animal hospital and east of the RR tracks. Jenn Megyesi was paddling and I believe saw 7 (watch for her eBird post). The previous eBird "high count" for Orange, Windsor, and other upper valley counties I checked was 2. As far as I know they have all been this year's young.
