Early this afternoon (Jan. 30), an adult Bald Eagle was on the Johnston Island nest in West Lebanon, NH. Meanwhile, downstream from the island, in the main channel of the Connecticut River, was a male Common Goldeneye as well as  a male and 2 female Common Mergansers. All were seen from Connecticut River Road  in Hartford, VT.
