The immature heron/egret is still present at Campbell Flat, foraging right now in the flooded meadow. I'm watching it with Kathy Thompson through my spotting scope from 30 feet. We're convinced it's a Little Blue. Dark wing tips are clearly visible, bill is proportionately large (similar in proportions to that if Great Blue, which is also here), and foraging posture is distinctive with neck extended forward, never drawn in as in Snowy Egret. Legs and feet are dull greenish-gray, no yellow at all.
Someone needs to get over here and get some photos!
Chris
