Goose Pond, Canaan:  I counted 28 White-throated sparrows this morning in the grass by the pond before they all flew up at once into the brush.  No doubt there were more I did not see.  Also, a Bald Eagle passed low overhead across the water yesterday, have seen one several times this summer.
