Late afternoon stops at Lake Pinneo and Dewey's Pond were highlighted by
an American Coot feeding in emergent vegetation amidst 53 Canada Geese
at Dewey's. An immature Double-creasted Cormorant was there and at
Pinneo, which also had 43 Hooded and 7 Common mergansers. Brushy
vegetation at the far western end was productive for sparrows, including
2 Fields and 9 White-crowneds.
