Today Ed Hack and I birded in a few locations in eastern Windsor
County, VT. Highlights included a House Wren singing this morning
along Old Bridge Road at Pompy in Norwich and this afternoon an
immature, silent, Red Crossbill probing cones in a pine tree on the
northwestern shore of Dewey's Pond in Quechee. More information on the
crossbill and other birds we found at Quechee today is available at
http://ebird.org/ebird/vt/view/checklist?subID=S18153169
