The skate rentals for the ice skating trip on Thursday are FREE!

To sign up for any trip, blitz the leader of that trip with your DA$H number (make sure you have money in your account!) or saying you'd like to pay in cash.  Your spot will be reserved once you pay.  If the trip is free, just blitz the leader to reserve a spot. Financial aid is available for all trips - just reply to this blitz with any questions.

WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY

The Feed!
Come to the Rock to eat a delicious home-cooked meal this Wednesday! Menu is yet to be determined, but it's gonna be good. Only $4!

THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY

What: CnT Ice Skating on Occom Pond
When: 2:45-4:30pm
Leader(s): Shea Flanagan and Caroline Resor
Why: Because Occom is frozen again (!) and we know you need some training time before your next IM hockey game
Come skating with us!  We'll meet up around 2:45, rent some skates (bring your ID!), and skate for as long as we want.  This trip is free aside from gear rentals.
Cost: Rentals - skates ($10,) hockey stick if you want ($2)

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY

What: X-country skiing at Hartlands!
When: Fri. 2–6 pm
Leader/Heeler: Max Deibel and Nick Thyr
Why: Because nothing says "the weekend" like gliding around in the great out-of-doors. Also, this trip is beginner friendly, and there's free ski rentals!
Cost: FREE for DOC members, $3 non-DOC
Blitz: Nick Thyr for more information or to sign up. If you want to sign up, please send dash no., shoe size, and height (for rentals)

What: Capture the Flag on Skis
When: Friday 3:15-5:15 (or whenever it get dark); Meet at DOC House
Leaders: Steve Tebbe, Apoorva Dixit
Why: Because what better way to learn how to ski than with Capture the Flag!
Come play some capture the flag in the snow! We’ll quickly teach you how to use cross-country skis (and Capture the Flag) before walking over to the golf course and playing! Absolutely no experience is required (but is welcome)…this trip is super beginner friendly. Hope to see you Friday!
Cost: Free for everybody!

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY


Mt. Carrigain Hike and Ski

Difficulty: Strenuous (14 miles)

7 am - 7pm

Come hike the beautiful Mt. Carrigain near the Northern Presidentials! We'll XC ski the first two miles on an old logging road before a 5 mile hike up Signal Ridge to the summit. There will be great views of the Northern Presidentials on both the ridge and the summit. Previous XC experience required.

Cost: $8 DOC, $15 non-DOC

What: Golf Course Cross Country Skiing.
When: 1:30-5:00 PM

Leaders: Paige Wilson and Shane Weisberg

Why: Nothing like a nice, relaxing ski on the golf course before the Super Bowl. No experience necessary.

Cost: Free for everyone

Blitz Shane Weisberg with your height and shoe size to sign up.


FUTURE FUTURE FUTURE

What: Ice skating at Lake Morey - All-DOC event
When: Saturday, Feb. 8 (Winter Carnival weekend); time TBD
Description: The DOC will hold an all-DOC outing over winter carnival to go ice-skating at Lake Morey, near Fairlee, VT. Lake Morey has the longest groomed ice-skating track in the United States, with 4.5 miles of fresh ice to glide over. Sign up early if you want to come so that you can go by DOR and get sized for skates. Skate rentals are free!
Cost: FREE because it's an All-DOC event!
