The official installer for OpenAFS on Mac 10.9/Mavericks is finally 
released today.

There is a copy at:
http://caligari.dartmouth.edu/public/downloads/openafs/

The release notes and other information are at the OpenAFS web site
http://www.openafs.org

We have NOT yet tested this locally, but we don't expect that the 
'Startup/Shutdown OpenAFS' buttons are any more robust than previously. 
We recommend that you don't try to stop or restart the service with those 
controls -- just leave it running once installed.
