Sorry for the late notice. On Saturday December 7, 2013, Windsor
County 2013 Birding Quest is holding a field trip to look for birds
along the Connecticut River. We'll meet at 8:00 AM in the commuter
parking lot off River Road in Norwich near the Ledyard Bridge and
later be carpooling to favored localities along the river in Norwich
and possibly Hartford. Chris Rimmer and George Clark are to lead. This
birding trip is free and open to public. Bring binoculars and scopes
if available. Dress warmly. Generally easy walking. Among the birds to
be sought will be lingering waterfowl and late migrants. We'll plan to
return to the Ledyard lot by 11:00 AM.

Road instructions: From Exit 13 off I-91 in Norwich, turn towards the
Ledyard Bridge. As you are approaching the bridge, pull into the left
hand turn lane, turn left at the traffic light onto River Road, and
then take an immediate first left into the parking lot where the trip
is to begin at 8:00 AM.

George Clark
Norwich, VT
