To sign up for any trip, blitz the leader of that trip with your DA$H number (make sure you have money in your account!) or saying you'd like to pay in cash. Your spot will be reserved once you pay. If the trip is free, just blitz the leader to reserve a spot.

WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY

Dinertoure!
My great-grandfather, Yee Lai Chue, was born and raised in San Francisco. Due to his Chinese ancestry, he was viciously persecuted for his race, even though he was a native-born American. As an adult, he underwent extensive training to become a dentist and upon completing his schooling, sought out a space to establish his practice. However, because he was Chinese, no one would rent to him, despite his position as an upstanding citizen. Betrayed by the country he had proudly called home, he faced a choice - a real crossroads: he could stay in America destitute and unable to work in his chosen profession or he could travel to China, a place he had never been and begin wholly anew.

Your crossroads is a much more literal cafe.
Meet behind Robo at 6:30 AM for a sojourn to the Crossroads Cafe in White River Junction.

There is actually NO MORE SPACE on this week's tour. If you want to get to the list before it fills up, come to Cabin & Trail meetings at 10PM in the Robo basement to get on an earlier blitz list. Our vehicles and the diners can only accommodate a limited number of people. Thanks so much for your interest, and if you have any questions, just blitz [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
The ride is free, bring small bills.

The Feed!
Come to the Rock to eat a delicious home-cooked meal this Wednesday! Menu is yet to be determined, but it's gonna be good. Free for '17s, and only $4 for upperclassmen!
7pm at the Rock (http://www.dartmouth.edu/~cabtrail/rock.shtml)
Meet 6:45pm behind Robo if you want to walk over with someone who's been there before.

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY

CnTeatime!
At four o'clock,
at the Rock.
There will be biscuits, or crumpets, or toast,
(all the teatime treats I like most)
I'll make lots and lots of lovely tea!
And best of all, it's totally free!

SATURDAY SATURDAY SATURDAY

What: Mt. Chocorua Extravaganza
When: 8am-5pm
Leaders: Graham Findlay and Pawan Dhakal
Difficulty: Moderate/Strenuous
Come check out the fall foliage with us on this gorgeous hike. Chocorua is a really unique trek with a very cool summit. It's about 7 miles round trip, and you've gotta climb a bit to earn your views. On the way back is an excellent creamery with some of the tastiest ice cream in the east, so now you have to come. Lunch is provided.
Cost: 5$ for D.O.C. members, 15$ for non-D.O.C. members (Go buy your DOC membership! $20/year or $50 for all four! A year-long membership pays for itself in two trips!)
Blitz: Graham Findlay with your DA$H number and any dietary restrictions to sign up.

What: A brief jaunt up (Mt.) Gile to catch the sunset and the foliage.
When: 5:45 - 7:45 pm on Saturday (but likely back earlier)
Why: Because the weather looks lovely, and there will be a sunset, and pretty leaves. It's a very non-strenuous 1.4 mile round trip hike, but there is a lovely fire tower at the top with a nice view.
Leader: Anna Knowles
Cost: $1 for DOC members, $3 for non-DOC
Blitz Anna Knowles with your DASH number to sign up

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY

What: The Triathlon of Hunger
When: 9am - 6 or 7pm
Leader(s): Max Deibel
Why: Do you like hiking? Or eating? Or fall foliage? This trip involves hiking ~4 miles up Mt. Hunger in Waterbury, VT, followed by a lovely afternoon spent nomming on free samples at the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, the Cabot Annex Store, and the Ben and Jerry's factory, all located in Waterbury as well! The hike just makes the food/cider taste that much better, and we should get awesome views of the changing leaves, so sign up!
Difficulty: Moderate
Cost: $5 DOC, $10 non-DOC
Blitz: Max Deibel with your DA$H to sign up or get more info!

What: Franconia Ridge Hike!
When: Sunday, 8 AM to ~8 PM
Leader(s): David Rice, Hunter van Adelsberg
Why: Because it's Franc Ridge!
The Franconia Range is the second-highest range in the White Mountains, and Franc Ridge strings together all the peaks into one awesome above-treeline backbone, making for a beautiful, otherworldly, hike along the knife's edge. Hooray for over-wrought language! But actually, this hike offers awesome views and is one of the most iconic treks the Whites has to offer, a true CnT crown jewel. The hike is moderate/strenuous, and will be about 9 miles round trip.
Cost: $6 members, much more non-members (enough that it makes more sense just to pay $20 for the one-year membership).
Blitz: Hunter van Adelsberg to sign up or to get more info! NB: there are only 9 spots and a lot of interest, so make sure to blitz in quick if you want to go!

If you're not a DOC member, BECOME a DOC member. $20 for an annual membership (memberships run from July 1 - June 30) or $50 for a student career membership (which expires June 30 of the year you graduate). Contact Julie Bell to sign up. Fees for trips as a DOC member are much less, and sometimes free.
