COMPANY BACKGROUND

PECO Pallet is the number two pallet pooling and logistics services provider in North America. Under the direction of its new leadership team, the company has achieved double digit growth over the last three years developing a national logistics and product service foot print across the US.  PECO continues to win in the marketplace by delivering superior levels of quality and service at a competitive price.  Currently, PECO services primarily the food and grocery manufacturing and retail industry.   PECO has significant potential to expand into additional industry manufacturing and distribution in the US as well as Mexico and Canada.
Because of its rapid growth and expansion potential, it is critical that PECO continue to maintain an industry leading value proposition in quality, service, and cost as it rapidly expands its supply chain network infrastructure and services.  Continuous improvement in customer value must be supported by additional investments in building a "best-in-class" supply chain planning capability.  PECO is currently searching for an experienced Inventory Planner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Inventory Planner is a key member of the Supply Chain team and is responsible for the depot activity and inventory planning processes.

*         Generates monthly replenishment plans with a 14 month planning horizon as part of the monthly SOIP process using refreshed demand and supply forecasts, and managing within the depot capacities.
*         Participate in monthly SOIP (Sales, Operations, Inventory) planning process.
*         Works with operations to identify depots that are at their capacities
*         Conduct weekly inventory reviews to evaluate planned vs. actual inventories and develop action plans as necessary
*         Daily review of actual vs. planned issues and returns and planning compliance to understand the impact to inventory and developing the appropriate plans to address the deviations.
*         Daily review of depot performance to plan relative to the sort and repair targets and the maintenance of RFU and Total inventory levels.
*         Daily review of manufacturing site production levels vs. plan.
*         Works closely with Transportation Coordinators to communicate deviations from plan and provides guidance for alternate planning sources.
*         Works closely with Managers of Field Operations to manage depot repair and sort performance and inventory management.
*         Run and compare growth scenarios to the baseline, reporting impact to network inventory balance.
*         Support the finance group by evaluating potential customer data, understanding the impact to the network.
*         Manage and determine optimal safety stock levels at each depot location.
*         Provide guidance to operations to identify areas that may need additional capacity.
*         Develops planning process KPI scorecard to measure planning effectiveness.
*         JDA power user.
  
KEY DELIVERABLES

*         Monthly replenishment and depot capacity plan.
*         Monthly depot sort and repair targets.
*         Effective and accurate inventory planning at both a detailed and aggregate level.
*         Coordination of weekly inventory reviews with Transportation and Operations.
*         Daily communication and guidance provided to the Transportation Coordinators and Managers of Field Operations.
*         Long range inventory plans, understanding seasonal build and depletion regionally and at depots

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES

*         Minimum 3 years' experience in inventory planning.
*         Real world planning experience in a national network supply chain business that includes multiple points of manufacturing, dozens of points of distribution and demand.
*         The ability to work effectively with counterparts in across an organization in sales, finance, service, operations, procurement, and transportation.
*         Clear understanding of end-to-end supply chain and supporting business processes from sales and demand planning through to customer delivery.
*         Demonstrated ability to inspire confidence, communicate and operate effectively.
*         Experience establishing key performance indicator metrics to benchmark and track performance.
*         Proficient with Excel, data warehouse software, PowerPoint.
*         JDA experience a plus.
